  Slalom Skis  -

How they are made

What you should be looking for:

Compression Moulded

This ski starts as a pre-shaped blown polyethylene foam core – Phenolic inserts are inserted in strategic positions to take the threads for the bindings – Chopped strand & woven glass and aramid composites are then wrapped around the core & stapled in position. This is then placed in mould with a PBT plastic top deck adding graphics and extra durability and a Polyethylene base. Once in place the mould is cooked for 10 minutes it is removed and cleaned up before the binding is fitted.

The finished product produces a lighter but more importantly stiffer and stronger ski to the exact desired shape.

The Siege has all the performance features of the Mapple but with a softer flew for an easier ride. With its Conical tunnel bottom and variable sidewall thickness you can use the same ski as World Champion Andy Mapple but in a more forgiving lay up that suits you….

Hard core skiers were reluctant to try the Synchro because of its extra girth, but once they got it on the water, they didn’t want to give it back. Why? Because the Synchro gives you the performance of a tournament ski without as much effort, allowing you to ski your best all day long. Designed and tested by Andy Mapple and his test team of skiers, this ski was intended to give you the extra support and comfort of a wide ski, without sacrificing turning capabilities. With its Variable Edge Design and Velocity Tunnel, the Synchro is perfectly capable of running the course, without making you forget the fun that you started skiing for in the first place!

A classic mono ski ideal for recreational skiing. It has a wide forebody and narrow tunnel shape developing into a deep tunnel at the tail. Its shape promotes an easier start and comfortable ride, forcing the ski onto the water. The tail shape also allows skiers a greater margin for error when trying to push the back of the ski through the turn. A flat tail would provide too much lift and spin out. The 45 degree edge bevels really help to lock the ski over on its edge and the flat section of rocker in the middle of the ski allow to cross the wake with a high degree of comfort too.
